This significant development means PlayStation 1 titles will soon grace modern platforms including PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series systems through the QUByte Emulation Engine.
Invasion from Beyond (known as B-Movie in Europe) (1998)
Motor Mash (1997)
One (1997)
The Brazilian publisher confirmed three initial titles leading this retro revival: 1998's Invasion from Beyond (known as B-Movie in European territories), 1997's vehicular combat title Motor Mash, and the same year's shooter One. Consequently, these obscure gems will receive new life beyond their original 32-bit confines. Furthermore, QUByte promises "many cult favourites" will follow in subsequent releases, though specific timelines remain unconfirmed.

At QUByte, we’ve always loved bringing retro classics back to life, and now we’re taking another big step in game preservation by adding PlayStation 1 support to the QEE!

This expansion represents a notable advancement in the company's preservation efforts. Their proprietary emulation engine already supports various legacy systems, but PlayStation integration marks perhaps their most ambitious retro gaming endeavour yet. Meanwhile, the absence of release dates for the announced trio suggests careful polishing to ensure faithful recreation of the original experiences.
The initiative continues gaming's broader trend of legacy content preservation, where companies leverage modern technology to resurrect beloved classics. Accordingly, QUByte's approach demonstrates how proprietary emulation solutions can bridge generational gaps in gaming hardware. Moreover, it offers legitimate alternatives to unofficial emulation methods that have historically preserved these digital artefacts.
This PlayStation expansion follows QUByte's established pattern of re-releasing overlooked titles that commercial considerations might otherwise consign to oblivion.
