Mega EverDrive Update Improves 32X Support

For retro fans in England and beyond, Krikzz has released firmware v26.0608 for the Mega EverDrive Core and Pro, with a focus on better support for early Sega 32X units.

The update adds an option for those early 32X setups that need an external extension unit to work correctly with certain Mega Drive models. It is a small change, but an important one for anyone using that specific hardware combination.

Alongside the 32X fix, the new firmware also improves savestates and adds more menu options. Savestates let players save progress at a chosen point, which can be useful on systems that did not include that feature natively.

Krikzz is a familiar name in the flash cart scene, and the Mega EverDrive line remains popular with players who want to use original Sega hardware with SD card loading. If you follow firmware news like this, you can keep an eye on our News tag for more updates.

Users of the Mega EverDrive Core and Pro can download the new firmware from the Krikzz support pages. For the official release details, see the RetroRGB report and the Krikzz website.
