Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse Gets October 2026 Date

Konami has set Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse for 15 October 2026, a date that lands neatly in time for Halloween and the series’ 40th anniversary. For retro fans in the UK and beyond, it is another reminder of how long the Belmont name has been part of gaming history.

The release date was announced during the June 2026 Xbox Showcase, as reported by Insider Gaming. The game was first announced in February 2026 during a Sony PlayStation State of Play presentation.

Belmont’s Curse is due on PC and all major consoles. It is set in Paris in 1499, and players will control Rose Belmont, the successor to Trevor Belmont and the last of her bloodline.

The trailer ends with Rose promising to “hunt at night” before the release date appears. The new story takes place 23 years after Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, which originally launched on the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1989.

That link back to the classic timeline will matter to long-time fans, especially those who still track the original NES releases. The first Castlevania debuted on the Famicom Disk System in Japan in 1986, then arrived in America on the NES in 1987, helping define the series’ gothic look and tough-as-nails play.
