Blink Respawn 2026 Heads to Santo Domingo
Santo Domingo is set to host Blink Respawn 2026, a fighting game tournament with major stakes for the wider scene. The event serves as a Capcom Pro Tour Premier Event for Street Fighter 6, with the winner earning a direct place at Capcom Cup 13. It also acts as a qualifier for the SNK World Championship for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
EventHubs reports that the roster includes FLY|Punk, WBG|MenaRD, Zeta|Yamaguchi and Varrel|Tokido. Those names give the event real weight, especially for fans following the current top level of competitive play across Capcom and SNK titles.
Alongside the headline circuits, Blink Respawn is also a Challenger tier event for the 2XKO Competitive Series. That makes it a multi-game stop rather than a single-title bracket, with tournaments also listed for Tekken 8, Guilty Gear Strive and Mortal Kombat 1.
Entrant numbers show where the biggest interest sits. Street Fighter 6 leads with about 320 players, followed by Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with more than 230 sign-ups. 2XKO has over 50 competitors, while Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves has more than 40 players entered.
Fans can follow the action on the Capcom Fighters and Blink Esports RD channels. For more RetroShell coverage of the fighting game scene, see our News tag and our report on SNK cutting King of Fighters 15 and Samurai Shodown tournament slots.
