SNK Teases Rick Strowd for City of the Wolves
SNK has posted a new teaser for Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and the clip has fans in South Town talking. The footage strongly suggests Rick Strowd could be returning, while also hinting that a third season of content may be in the works.
The teaser, shared on social media and YouTube, shows a character from the side and back, with many viewers identifying him as Rick Strowd. He appears to be stepping into a ring, possibly for a match against Tizoc. This comes while Season 2 of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is still underway, with Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star still to be released as the final announced character for that season, as reported by EventHubs.
SNK has not added any official description to the teaser. The Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves logo at the end of the clip does, however, tie it directly to the game, according to SNK Corporation. For now, that leaves the community with a familiar kind of fighting game speculation, and plenty of it.
There is also some history behind the timing. During Season 1, SNK teased Wolfgang Krauser before Season 2 was formally announced. That earlier pattern is why many fans now think a Season 3 reveal could follow, even before the current season has wrapped up. It is a classic SNK move, keeping the roster chatter going and giving players something to watch for between releases.
Rick Strowd first appeared in Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers (リアルバウト餓狼伝説2 THE NEWCOMERS), so his return would be a welcome nod for long-time Fatal Fury fans. His boxing style would also add another distinct fighting approach to City of the Wolves, which already leans hard into the series’ varied cast and arcade roots.
