ARC Raiders Soundtrack Gets iam8bit Vinyl

For readers in the UK, here is a collector-friendly bit of game music news, iam8bit has announced a 2xLP vinyl soundtrack for ARC Raiders. Pre-orders are open until 13 July, with shipping expected in Q4.

The soundtrack is composed by Patrik Andren and Johan Soderqvist, and includes tracks such as “Speranza” and “The New World” across two discs and four sides. Three editions are planned, the Split Spectrum iam8bit Exclusive Edition, an 180 Gram Edition, and a Clear Signal Edition. The first two are available to pre-order now via the iam8bit news page.

Pricing is set at $42.99 for the Split Spectrum and 180 Gram editions, which works out at about £34.00. Each set will come in a deluxe widespine jacket, with interchangeable inner sleeves featuring artwork by Art Director Robert Sammelin.

ARC Raiders is an extraction shooter set on a future Earth, with a “cassette-future, 1970s western aesthetic”. That style suits a vinyl release neatly, especially for players who like their soundtrack on a physical format as well as streaming or download.

iam8bit has been pressing game music on vinyl since 2010, and its catalogue includes soundtracks for LittleBigPlanet, Twisted Metal Symphony, Persona, and Sunset Riders. More details are available on the official iam8bit site.
